- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆Carroll County fair is not what it used to be. It's a big rip off.You gotta pay $10 just to get in and walk around. Then $10 to ride what few rides they have(there's more games then rides). This fair sucks!!! - ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆I sent my son to the fair yesterday Wednesday July 19th for the first time. His wrist band came apart shorty after he arrived. When he addressed the fair board about the issue they decided to fix it with tape, which of course didn't last. While holding it together and trying to get on the Ferris Wheel, he asked the operator of the ride what he should do about his wrist band. She took it out of his hands said "well no more rides for you" and threw it in the trash. He decided to go back to the fair board and tell them what happened. They told him he had to buy a new pass. Now it has cost him $20 dollars to attend this fair, which in my opinion is definitely not worth it. Today I decided to address the situation myself. I walked down to the fairgrounds with my son and spoke to the gentleman in charge of the fair about the issue, unfortunately I don't have his name. In many meaningless words he told me there was nothing that could be done. So my family and I are out $10 because a judemental unprofessional Ferris Wheel operator decided to throw away my son's wristband. My parents taught my to do the right thing in life, always. It's pretty sad at my young age of 37 I act and do more mature things than individuals who are older than me. I shake my head at you Carroll County Fair, shame on you for not reading this situation better that you should have, shame on you.By Columbia Shepard, October 16, 2016
